Nathan wouldn't let me record him reciting the pledge of allegiance, so I'm typing it exactly as he said it...
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Public, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, if liverty and justice for all.

January Updates
Wow, the year is going by fast! I can't believe January is half almost over. It's been a busy couple of weeks.
Mei Li (the cat) has started sleeping with Nathan occasionally. It's very cute. She curls up on his bed with him until he's asleep, then she joins us downstairs to watch some TV. We noticed last weekend that Nathan has started going up the stairs one foot in front of the other, instead of leading with the same foot for each step. Did that make sense? If you've been around toddlers, it does! He's getting to be such a "big boy". He continues to love anything that has to do with trucks, tractors, or Disney's Cars. He's getting really good at puzzles. Last weekend he finished a 60 piece puzzle almost by himself. His new favorite pretend game is "pizza delivery man". He's always in the middle of delivering a pizza when I pick him up from school.
Mathew continues to be smiley and happy. He now likes to clap his hands and bounce whenever he hears music. He has also started eating little star pufffs, which he loves. Can't get enough of those! We're hoping to move on to Cheerios soon. He has also been showing a very impatient side of himself. He sits and barks at us loudly if we aren't quick enough with food or hugs! While not truly "mobile" yet, Mathew does manage to get himself up on one knee to rock back and forth a little. He also flops himself on his belly and does the "Superman", waving his arms and legs crazily 3 inches off the ground, going absolutely nowhere.

Tooth!
Mathew's first tooth popped through last night (1/4/09)! We were at the Watson's watching football last night and Mathew grabbed my hand, stuck my finger in his mouth and chomped down. Ouch! To my surprise, I felt a tiny little razor burried in his gums.
